Then you go again. Pick an answer on the card and watch Biro mark it.

    short sets. small bites.

Pick a topic and answer a set of questions. Biro marks as you go and explains every mark. Missed one? Ask for more like it.

Bites are short lessons that teach one idea, then ask you a few questions about it.

    sit a paper. snap it.

Take a Biro mock paper, shaped like a real one, in the app. Or do your board's own past paper on paper, photograph your answers, and Biro marks the photos.

Biro's marks are an estimate, not the board's marking.

    questions? answers.

    I'm a parent. What should I know?

Biro is for students in the UK aged 13 and over. It marks their answers and explains every mark, so you can both see why. Its marks and grades are estimates. Pro is paid through Apple: cancel it in iPhone Settings, and Apple handles refunds. Privacy and Staying safe say how their data is used and how reporting works.

    How accurate is the marking?

Biro marks against a mark scheme where it has one, and gives a reason for every mark, so you can see how it decided. Its marks and grades are estimates, not the exam board's marking, and the AI can get things wrong. If a mark looks off, check it with your teacher.

    Which exams does it cover?

GCSE Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Combined Science, for AQA, Edexcel and OCR, and Cambridge IGCSE. You choose your tier: Foundation or Higher, Core or Extended.

    Who is Biro for?

Students in the UK aged 13 and over who are working towards their GCSEs or IGCSEs. It's an iPhone app.

    Is it safe?

You can report anything that worries you from inside the app. Staying safe explains how reports and appeals work. If someone is in danger now, call 999.

How do I cancel Pro or get a refund?

To cancel, open Settings on your iPhone, then your name, then Subscriptions. Apple handles refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do I delete my account?

In Biro, open Settings, then Delete account.
